What is Microneedling RF?
Microneedling RF combines conventional microneedling, which has been present since past 25 years, with the recently introduced radiofrequency skin tightening. Combination of 2 effective technologies that cause collagen induction is the reason why microneedling RF is considered superior to a dermaroller or a dermapen.
How does it work?
The device contains numerous microneedles which can be insulated or non-insulated. These microneedles penetrate the superficial layers of the skin and radiofrequency energy is released from the non-insulated part of the microneedles. These causes collagen induction due to microneedling and skin tightening due to radiiofrequency.

Benefits over conventional microneedling
- Depth can be altered in a single session itself
- Added benefit of radiofrequency-induced skin tightening
- Less downtime
- More effective
- Lesser number of sessions required
How many sessions required?
Although, microneedling can be used for many skin concerns, for post acne scars, usually 2-4 sessions are required.
