How Does It Work?
Ultrasonic energy has the unique ability to transmit through water, making it useful in various medical fields for diagnosis and treatment. Ultrasound energy with a frequency of more than 20 Hz does not penetrate deeply, allowing it to focus on the skin's deeper dermis and SMAS layers.
This specialized type of ultrasound is known as microfocused ultrasound (MFU) or highly focused ultrasound (HIFU). The ultrasonic energy generates acoustic effects, raising the skin's temperature to around 60°C. This temperature increase creates thermal coagulation zones, actively inducing collagen and elastin production for long-lasting results.
The Procedure & Sessions
Doublo Gold uses three cartridges for the face (1.5 mm, 3 mm, and 4.5 mm) and one cartridge for the body (13 mm). After cleansing and prepping the skin, a gel is applied, and the shots are delivered using different cartridges for different facial areas. The treating physician determines the specific settings.
How Many Sessions? For first-time users, two sessions are recommended, spaced four months apart. After that, an annual maintenance session is sufficient for mild to moderate skin laxity. A maximum of four sessions can be done in a year, with peak results of a single session visible after ten weeks.
